The Third Coast Audio International Festival is one of the most exciting and invigorating audio festivals in the world. Celebrating its 10th year and bringing together independent journalists and sound producers, Third Coast creates a home and identity for the buoys of sound makers in the sea of radio. Francesca Panetta is The Guardian’s senior audio producer and she has produced this Third Coast Audio Festival podcast for The Guardian, going behind the scenes and offering interviews with Radio Lab’s Jad Abumrad, This American Life’s Ira Glass and TCIAF’s artistic director Julie Shapiro and executive director Johanna Zorn. Also captured are excerpts from various sessions featured at the festival full of sound rich moments and reflections from presenters of these sessions. Sprinkled throughout are insights from festivalgoers and the inspiration they feel by being at the conference in Chicago.
